MiTek (formerly HooYu) is PayQuicker’s approved and trusted digital identification partner, which assists us in rapidly and securely verifying your identity so you can use PayQuicker to get paid.
This guide explains the step-by-step experience for payees and will help you understand our identity verification process.
Step 1a: Identity Verification Required
Payee can choose to 'Continue' or do this step later
Step 1b: If the payee choose to postpone the verification process
Payee will be re-directed to the Account Overview page.
A banner message will appear to remind payees that ID verification needs to be completed.
- 'Continue' will allow payee to continue the ID Verification process > Banner message
- Please note that Payees will have limited access to the account until ID verification is complete.
Step 2: Continuing on the ID verification process
Payee will be re-directed to Mitek’s website and greeted with a welcome screen
- Payee can click this link to learn more about Mitek (Formerly HooYu)
- Clicking 'Next' will take the Payee to next screen where payees can see list of all the required documents
Step 3: Before beginning the ID verification
Payee will need the following:
- Photo ID: At least 1 photo ID(s)
- Proof of address: At least 1 proof of address document(s)
- Liveness Check: Desktop webcam, a Laptop camera, or a smartphone
Step 4: Accepting Mitek’s Terms and Conditions
Mitek collects sensitive personal data, so it is required to agree to Mitek’s Terms and Conditions before moving forward.
- Click 'Agree and Continue' to begin verification process
Step 5: Upload the documents to confirm your identity
Step 5a: Upload your Photo ID
Payee can choose to upload any one of the acceptable forms of ID.
- Select the type of document you want to upload. The upload screen that follows will have instructions for the document type you choose.
Step 5b: Upload your Proof of Address
When you upload a document to serve as proof of address, you will be asked to select the document type. You must confirm the document was issued in your name and meet the date requirements.
- Select the type of document you want to upload and confirm requirements.
- Click ‘Continue’ to upload your document. The upload screen will have instructions for the kind of document you plan to upload.
Step 5c: Complete your Liveness Check
Mitek wants to make sure you’re a real person, so liveness check is required. The liveness check can be done via desktop or mobile phone.
- Click 'Continue' to take a live picture via desktop webcam.
Step 6: Wait for your documents to process
Sometimes it takes a moment for MiTek to process documents.
- Uploaded documents that are waiting for approval are highlighted in yellow.
- Uploaded documents that have been rejected display a red caution icon.
- If a document has been rejected, return to the upload screen to view the rejection reasons and next steps.
Payee can choose to stay notified (not required)
Payee can choose to be notified when your documents are finished processing by clicking the ‘Notify Me’ button on the document upload screen and submitting the contact information.
Step 7: Complete the verification process
Once your documents are confirmed you will be taken to a screen that will notify you that the process is complete.
- Clicking the 'Continue' button will take you back to the Account Overview page in the Payee Account.
Addendum: Inactive Users
If you become inactive while uploading documents, Mitek will pause your session so you can easily restart the process at any time.
